Your favorite photos are hand painted on Christmas Ornaments with great likeness! For a unique, heart-felt and cherished gift, consider ordering one of our custom Hand Painted Christmas Ornament Portraits. Melanie Haislip has been painting the beautiful portrait paintings since 1990. She started painting portraits on Christmas balls for customers of their farms, when the historic 5-Star resort, The Greenbrier discovered her services and started ordering by the dozens to sell in their gift shop. Soon after that, the Dayton Historic Society started ordering by the hundreds of their property for a fundraiser.
With over 30 years' experience, Melanie's ornaments have been sold to Realtors, Wedding Planners, Churches, Retailers and individual customers all over the world. You can see many examples of her ornaments on this site by selecting from one of the categories at the top of the page.
You can place your order by simply mailing a photo to her with instructions for delivery and payment. She can paint almost anything you need, but generally her prices include only a single portrait. If you need more than one person or more than one pet on an ornament, that can be arranged with her, very easily. Just contact her via email address www.mellyh@comcastnet and she can discuss options and pricing.
She can hand paint your pet, child, home, car... anything with intricate detail, using the smallest of brushes and acrylic paint. She guarantees a very close likeness. If your photos are mailed, she will return them. There are some slight changes she can make to the ornament for you. For example, she can change the color of the clothing on a person or she can add snow and candles for a holiday affect.
Please allow her some time to complete your order. She receives many orders for Christmas gift giving and paints on a first-come first-serve basis, unless a different deadline is discussed with her. During the holidays, she will have a deadline, but as it gets closer, pricing may vary. Shipping prices will be posted. The ornaments that we offer are high quality, white porcelain glass spheres and the diameter is 2 5/8" and 3 1/4".
